The narrator names the ships on which they are based, the Aberdeen liner Ninevah, the Brussels (a hospital ship sunk in the war), and the stately steam yacht Planet. Tugs are named as Cygnet and Seagull. We see the model boats being sailed around a purpose built circle of water. The Sydney Society of Model and Experimental Engineers is the home of these "marvellously accurate models" and we see several of them "moving under their own steam".
