| Description: | THE GATE OF GERMANY - Hamburg, the great Port across the North Sea, which during 1929 dealt with 94,000 ships. L/S's of numerous large ships, liners and tugboats in the busy port. L/S's of seagulls. Over 50 million tons of shipping (a large proportion of it ours) passed through this "Gateway" last year..." Several shots of large cranes lifting cargo and ships, some sound their horns. L/S of busy dockside. "But, Hamburg's pride is the giant express liner "Europa" - to beat which the "Cunard" are building an even faster and larger floating palace." L/S's and M/S's of the enormous liner blowing it's horn and setting sail from the dock. | |
