| Description: | Prelude shows the years counting down from 1934 to the 1900s with a montage of watches seen behind. Commentator says we are going to meet a real old-fashioned juggling 'turn'. Titles read: "The GIRLS of our Youth!" Archive footage from around the 1900s shows two female jugglers in a room or studio. They lie on their backs on special seats on the floor with their legs in the air. They both wear short costumes and black tights (They look like corsets). Their male assistant gives each one a barrel and the women juggle them with their feet, turning the barrels this way and that, over and from side to side. Quite impressive, though not hugely entertaining! The music on the (modern) soundtrack makes it seem quite funny - the tune is 'You Can't Play My Ukulele'. At the end they both fling their barrels to the man, get up and take a bow. (This may be 'Levanda, the world's greatest Lady Foot Juggler') | |
