CU man lays a photograph of a woman on top of a stencil design of leaves, etc. Not sure what this is for since it is not used. Next, CU man cuts a piece of glass which is lying on another paper; this one has lines drawn on it to represent the different pieces of glass- -a profile inside geometric designs. The artist taps the glass to make it fall apart. Next, w/ the glass over the photo, he starts to paints the portrait. CU photo and glass portrait side by side. MCU artist painting more of portrait, but now it looks as if it's somehow in the middle of an easel. MCU profile of the lady in person (actress Miss Barbara Hoffe). Artist. Hoffe. CU Finished portrait. MCU artist fastening a narrow band of lead around the piece of glass on which the portrait is painted. MCU artist using tools to fit the various pieces of glass used in the work tightly together. MS Hoffe watches as Mr. S. finishes his work; he holds it up for her to see.
