| Description: | THE GRAND PARADE Famous Actresses in the great Charity Fashion Parade for St. George's Hospital, London. Fashions modelled by actresses Madge Saunders, Enid Stamp Taylor, Ivy Tresmand and Joyce Barbour. Several glamorous actresses/models all at once walking and turning gracefully around a room where upper-class ladies sit at tables around the sides. Then they come out one at a time. Miss Madge Saunders walks out wearing ermine cloak by Marcel. She holds the cloak open wide to show the black velvet on the inside, cloak is reversible; underneath she wears a white dress w/ rather low waist and soft-pleated skirt. MCU skirt; the bottom half is decorated w/ a design in black and coral beads. Miss Saunders turns around and walks on across the room. Next Miss Enid Stamp Taylor models a sleeveless velvet dress by Patou w/ white on top, black skirt. It is trimmed w/ strips of sparkling diamante material, sewn on in a V in front and in the back hanging down from the shoulders in 2 loops. LS she walks into room, turns. MS from back, looking over her shoulder, then turning round. Back to LS as she walks on across. Next, Ivy Tresmond wears frock of thin fabric embroidered w/ beads and sequins.MS Miss Joyce Barbour wearing coat of some shiny fabric (titles say "gold tissue") trimmed w/ beige fox fur. She holds open coat to show pink and silver beaded gown. LS Barbour walking around the room. Then Barbour models a wedding gown; another woman walks behind carrying the train. | |
