"Ayres" takes the race in straight heats to prove that a small, good horse can beat any horse twice his size. Outside shot of the Duquoin State Field, throngs in line to gain entrance. Ground shot up at the judge's nest. Horseracing fans with an array of different hats covering their heads on a bright sunny day. A horse pace car has the buggies lined up and ready for the race.
