| Description: | THE KING'S MICROPHONE - used only by His Majesty and from which he will broadcast from around the World - installed in the House of Lords. House of Lords, London. L/S of delivery man taking small package (presumably containing the microphone) out van. He closes the door of the van to reveal the writing, "Marconiphone". He poses for the camera outside the Lords. MLS man gets out of the back of a truck carrying a fancy little box; truck says "Marconiphone Speech & Music Amplifier"; he steps over to the sidewalk, says something to another man, as curious onlookers gather around. The other man lifts the top off and then gives the Marconi man the OK to enter the House of Lords, which he does. M/S's of man placing microphone in the Lords. Interior MS (very dark) the Marconi guy installs the Royal Microphone on a stand and then places the fancy box over it (the box has an screen-covered round opening on the side so that the Royal Voice can get through. MLS 4 men wheel sheet-covered throne, in which the King sits whilst visiting the House of Lords, across room and set it up beside the microphone. | |
