| Description: | THE LISTENERS IN - AN OFF MOMENT OF WELL KNOWN FOLK Entertainers Seymour Hicks, Ellaline Terriss and Stanley Logan go on an outing in the countryside and listen to a new radio set outdoors. Chauffeur-driven automobile driving through park or woods; it stops and the passengers get out. MS man helping woman descend from car; she stands in the door powdering her nose, then drops the powder puff as he helps her down. Little Pekinese dog jumps down too. MCU man picks up powder puff and dog and pretends to powder his own face, then the dog's face. MLS the 3 comedians do a little comic routine in which they keep dropping things. MS HIcks, Terriss and Logan sitting around a wild-looking new radio set which they have set up on the ground. The radio is in the shape of a thin hexagon, w/ the center empty; the bottom side, where the actual stuff that makes it work is, is a few inches high and has 4 tubes that look like lightbulbs sticking up into the middle of the hexagon. The 3 people listen to the radio w/ headphones and go through various facial expressions which reflect what they are hearing. Ends w/ title implying that bad language is being used on the radio; they all look shocked and take off their headphones. | |
