| Description: | "London. The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. Thousands of Jewish Ex-Service men & women attend great Remembrance Service for fallen Comrades." (Title features Hebrew script of the Biblical quotation) London. Men in civilian dress march past the Cenotaph war memorial in London's Whitehall. Lots of wreaths have been placed at the base of the memorial. Large parade of ex servicemen and veterans (possibly on Horseguards Parade). CU veterans being inspected, by unidentified VIP. Women are also amongst those being inspected, they too are wearing medals. Quick shot of Rabbi speaking. Pan across crowd. Many with heads bowed in prayer. The Rabbi is making a prayer for peace. He then speaks in Hebrew and the translation appears super imposed over shots of the Rabbi and crowd. Words read: May there be abundant peace from heaven and life for us and for all Israel; and say ye, Amen. - He who maketh peace in his high places, may he 'make peace for us all and for all Israel; and say ye, Amen." A military band play as people sing. Four Guardsmen in bearskins play the last post. Crowd shots as they stand silently. Cut back to soldiers as they finish playing their bugles. | |
