| Description: | "The Man of a Thousand Faces": interview w/ comedian Huntley Wright, 1920s. Wright does his make-up for the play "The Geisha", in which he played the character Wun Hi. MLS Wright in dressing room; hands jacket to valet or dresser, sits at make-up table. MCU Wright applying eye make-up to create an Asian look. The dresser brings a hairpiece w/ bald front & long braid & Wright puts it on. He applies a bit more make-up, then poses for camera. CU Wright smiling. MLS he stands; dresser brings hat; he puts it on & walks around. Dissolve to MLS Wright dressed in drag sitting at mirror putting on make-up. He stands up, showing the long beaded gown, flutters a fan about. Title: "I'm Mrs. Brown- -in 'The Country Girl'. Do come and have a cup of tea!" Next, Wright in costumes for various roles... "The Silhouette Cutter" in the play "The Lady of the Rose" (in long cape & hat decorated w/ silhouettes, cutting paper w/ scissors. Then "Lord Tankerdown" in "None But the Brave"- -scene on stage set w/ Wright looking meek & mild in glasses, slicked back hair; another man enters & tells him something w/ sets him into a tizzy. MCU the other guy (the Butler, played by Henry Wenman) gives him a drink (supposedly his first alcoholic beverage). He downs the whole glass. LS emboldened by drink, Lord T. chases his rival (George de Warfaz) around the room swinging at him w/ a rifle; he finally knocks out the enemy, collapses on chair and is helped away by the trusty servant.
