| Description: | THE MARVEL OF THE AGE from the Court Theatre Revue Carte Blanche. Comedy sketch w/ Tubby Edlin and the Two Bobs demonstrating Peter P. Pogwash's Patent Painless Pig Pulverizer and Pork Packer. LS Big fake machine w/ many parts, obviously made of cardboard or something like it. In front of the machine are a man in a white uniform, a man in a topcoat and tophat and a big moustache, the inventor and a clown type in a funny little hat, and an old lady. MLS the man in white (machine operator) turning a wheel while the tophat guy explains, pointing w/ his stick toward a statue of a pig going down a sloping conveyor belt into the machine. MS closer of same: inventor points toward the pig sliding down the ramp, passing underneath a bunch of carrots hanging from a string. Title: "... tickles him to death with a revolving feather duster." MCU operator in front of machine; above him are feather dusters attached to a turning wheel. "...he is again tickled by revolving hatchets - " MCU another wheel w/ fake axes whirling around. LS machine; inventor walks to rt. to where a string of sausages comes out a hole. MCU the clown pulling the sausages from the hole, clapping & laughing. MCU the inventor speaking. LS of machine in action w/ same 4 characters as in 1st shot. | |
