| Description: | THE PARADE IS ON! Latest fashions are modelled at the Cafe de Paris using unusual revolving stage. Great footage of glamorous models on runway and revolving platform at a Spring 1932 fashion show Cafe de Paris night club, London, England LS pan model in long gown with assymmetrical design walks down staircase, past band. She arrives at a big black disc c. 7 ft. in diameter and poses leaning against it with arms spread. The disc rotates to reveal another model in evening gown on the other side, which is painted white. In these and the following shots of the models on the platform, one can see the band in BG on rt., and, as the giant disc rotates, a glimpse of women in audience seated in BG on left. Cut to 2 more models posing on revolving platform, on either side of the big circle; both of these women wear looser gowns, one in floral print, the other with giant dots. Pan with model in floral gown as she walks back along runway and on up stairs to balcony. MLS another model, wearing polka-dotted dress with floor-length skirt of layered ruffles, also a wide-brimmed hat. Disc turns to show model in simple dark daytime dress, coat trimmed with wide band of fur just below hip level. LS women watching the show from balcony. MLS model in fabulous light-colored satin gown and matching coat with fur trim on opposite side a model in long evening gown w/ short puffed sleeves, skirt that spreads out in pleats starting at knee-length. Starts to cut back and forth between backstage scenes and more shots of models posing against the turning disc in middle of night club. MCU model backstage, quickly changing clothes; long table and mirror. MLS model on revolving thing, wearing a sort of mermaid dress. MCU dresser helps model pull on gown; she pats her hair. MLS 2 models in sparkling evening gowns on either side of disc. MCU model shakes out scarf, wraps it round her shoulders; another model in daywear smokes a cigarette in doorway. MCU model sits at dressing table powdering her face; we see both the real woman and her reflection; table is cluttered with jewelry, wine glasses, etc. MLS model poses in long white gown, holding big white ostrich feather fan. Another model in sparkling gown. LS ladies in balcony. Next, 2 models revolve in satin evening gowns. Model in bridal gown carrying bouquet walks on runway past band, with another woman carries her train. Wider tilt down shot of the "bride" and her attendant coming down stairs and across runway.
