| Description: | THE PIE GIGANTIC American small town makes giant apple pie, using a ton of apples - maybe this is part of some festival or other community event. Girls help to bake a massive apple pie. United States of America "This world is full of "Super" beings, and "Super" monsters - but Eve has unearthed the super pie! One ton of apples...!" MLS apples being dumped out of back of truck. Kids kneeling on the ground scramble to collect them. MS row of teenage girls sit on ground peeling apples. "About four hundredweight of pastry." High angle shot of a massive rolling pin being moved across a large sheet of pastry by a gang of girls. LS huge rolling pin is rolled across table by 6 girls - 3 on either side - directed by elderly man in apron and white hat. Crowd stand behind watching. Various shots of them rolling the pastry. MS the girls roll the pin the other way across table. High angle shot of the pie case being filled with apple mixture. Bakers are pouring barrels full of the apple filling into the bottom crust of the pie, while girls use cooking pots to dip filling out of another barrel. Other girls stand around the edges using rakes to spread the filling around. High angle shot of the pastry being laid over the pie. MLS girls carefully unrolling last strip of top crust onto the pie. "A "Super" baking..." The pie is moved into a huge outdoor oven. LS pie being pulled under big brick oven (outdoors) while crowd watches. "And here's the original super pie!" Tractor pulling steaming pie out of oven. Large group of kids watch the pie coming out. LS the teenage girls kneel around the pie plate. They seem to be spreading dark mixture on top of pie. The head baker wields a giant knife to cut pie while 3 other bakers stand behind watching. Kids rush forward to get a piece. Crowd of children come swarming toward the pie - much pushing and jostling for position. CU little girl eating (normal sized) piece of pie. C/U of young girl digging in to a plate of pie. | |
