M/S as Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, gets out of the aeroplane and walks across the grass to shake hands with waiting dignitaries. He takes his coat off. M/S of him talking to mayor (?) and smoking a cigarette as he walks across a field, he is now wearing long dark coat and carrying bowler hat. The two men climb into a car. L/S as the Prince gets out of the car at the college. M/S as he walks along line of soldiers and inspects them. The Chancellor takes his hat off and they all shake hands. M/S as they emerge from the university after procession of students in caps and gowns. M/S of Prince Edward making a speech on a platform, he is surrounded by college officials. The group walk down the steps to the door of the new laboratories, and the Chancellor unlocks the door with a key and opens it. C/U of Prince of Wales in profile. L/S as they walk back towards the car, he shakes hands with college officials and gets in. | |
