Tilt down LS woman dressed as cave woman sitting under overhanging rock rubbing one stone against another; smoke is coming from a primitive stove nearby. MCU cave woman at work; she drops another handfull of grain on the flat stone. CU grinding the grain. Modern days. Young man pulling cart stacked w/ big sacks of flour into room where many other sacks are already stored. CU someone stirring liquid into flour w/ stick, then using their hands to mix it. Hands kneading dough. Man empties big sacks of flour into container. MCU looks man's arm operating what looks like large scale sifter. CU hand turning crank on automatic dough mixer. CU lots of flour tumbling, water added, mixture churning around. CU giant beaters turning inside the mass of dough stretching it like taffy. The dough being emptied out. Back to lady MCU she kneads dough on rock. CU same. Then she separates dough into smaller balls. Machine cutting dough into loaf-sized sections. Dough tumbles onto conveyor belt. Balls of dough being spun on a thing like a big top, then falling down a chute. MS baker grabbing dough as it comes off a wheel and tossing each piece into small rectangular pan. CU tossing dough into pans; dough now sort of sausage shaped. Cave woman tosses flat round pieces of dough onto a flat rock over a fire. CU same. MS 2 Workers in bakery use poles to shove groups of pans into oven. Cave woman taking bread off her "stove". MCU bakery workers pulling pans out of oven. Loaves of bread on conveyor belt. | |
