| Description: | 'THE WANDERER - A Cameo of the open road'. Various shots of a Romany or gypsy man called Sapengro lighting a fire beside his cart / camp and making some tea and bacon and eggs for breakfast. A large monkey with a chain around his neck sits on the cart eating something and jumping about. Sapengro gives the monkey some milk. Sapengro's white horse comes along and seems to take some food from the man's mouth with its teeth. Sapengro cuddles a small pony and gives it something to drink from a cup. He talks to the monkey and helps it to groom itself. The small pony nuzzles his head. We then see Sapengro in a small village, turning a hurdy gurdy machine or music box on the back of his cart "earning the few coppers to set him on his way with the sun, the moon and the stars to guide him". Both horses are harnessed to the cart. A few villagers stand around watching. | |
