| Description: | "In Pennsylvania, an enormous system of caverns has recently been discovered, and State Geologists are busy surveying them." United States of America. M/S of a group of men climbing down the side of some rocks by means of ropes. Inside a cave they climb into a little boat to negotiate an underground river. The roof if the cave is pretty low - rather claustrophobic. "The dry caverns are veritable forests of Stalactites and Stalagmites -" Low angle shot of the men clambering over rock face. C/U of two of the geologists looking at a group of stalactites. One of the men uses a saw to remove one of the stalactites. "That's a beauty" says one of the men. They admire it. A group of the geologists crouch around a group of stalagmites. One of the men uses little xylophone beaters to play a tune on the stalagmites - very cute. The men walk through the caves holding flares - all sorts of weird and wonderful shaped stalagmites are illuminated by their flares. | |
