| Description: | THE YOUNGEST PERM 18-month-old girl is given a permanent wave. A very young girl (18 months old) has her hair permed so that she can get herself a boyfriend! United States "Little Yvonne is about the world's youngest wave seeker - she's only 18 months' old." CU the child, named Yvonne, having her hair combed by male hair stylist. He divides hair into sections. The perm is taking place in the open air and there is a large contraption hanging behind them - the hairdresser has a female assistant. MS stylist putting rollers on the kid's hair, the cords of the perm machine hang directly above her, moved there by woman assistant; meanwhile a woman walks by in BG, carrying a golf club. CU Yvonne w/ hair rolled tight in the curlers, looking sulky. MS the 2 hairdressers hold wires attached to the poor toddler's head while the kid sits still, chewing on something and looking bored. "Yvonne will have a lot more boy friends after this - !" reads an intertitle. CU Yvonne after the perm, her hair all curled into ringlets, frowns skeptically into a mirror held in her face by the grinning hairdresser. Suddenly from the other side the woman stylist's hands appear, spraying the kid w/ hairspray. Ends with MS Yvonne's mother holds up her child; Yvonne herself is blowing kisses. | |
