M/S of a modern art sculpture in the foreground which is a strange shape with three different sized holes in it, it is stood on a concrete platform and the houses are in the background. M/S of another piece of sculpture on a lawn, it is white with various pieces stuck on at strange angles, it has two legs to support it. M/S of it from a different angle. M/S of another one which is a grey lump with a chain over it and a stick in the middle, it is set in a brick platform. M/S of a big model with a chain on the edge and a hole in the middle, there are trees and a lawn in the background. M/S of two men working on a sculpture with cement and trowels, C/U of one of the men who is wearing a flat cap, working on the model. The narrator tells us the original statue was designed by builder Ted Drewery, and his workmen have helped him make the rest. M/S of the workmen moulding the statue which looks vaguely like a woman. C/U of the other man working, the camera pans across to show them adding cement to the statue. C/U of a metal wheel which is in the base. The camera moves up to show the statue which has a wheel and a bolt sticking out of the top. The narrator says that the builders do not mind if the residents throw the structures in the bin. M/S of a man walking up to a white statue on a lawn, he stands with his hands on his hips looking at the statue. C/U of the statue which looks a bit like a person without a head. M/S as he signals to one of the builders who is hammering at his door frame. The builder comes over and the man points animatedly to the statue, he reaches across and takes the builder's hammer. He then starts to smash the statue to bits. M/S as he finishes smashing it and kicks the rest of it over, he then walks off and into the house. | |
