| Description: | Tim Eric Hanneman explains his stunt. Man painted somewhat like a mime says loudly to his sidewalk audience, "I perform pantomime and escapes." He asks people to stop blocking the sidewalk, then introduces himself - famous escapologist Tim Eric - and his act again. "The world's record for escaping out of a straightjacket alone was set in 1976. That time was 14.5 seconds. Houdini's time for escaping out of a straightjacket alone was 2 1/2 minutes, and that was a trick. What you're seeing here this afternoon is not a trick. It's the real thing." (Oh boy, this ought to be good!) "I am the only person in the world, at this time, that performs these particular escapes and does not use tricks." He cites his fastest and longest times. "If you have your stopwatches ready, you can start timing me when I start to move." | |
