Cornwall MS looking inside a narrow shaft w/ one side open, in which chains are pulling up metal box full of rocks from underground. MLS same; pan as the container rises higher. MS rocks being dumped onto a slanted grate. MCU shovel scooping rocks into hole in dirty floor; the rocks inside are shaking as they are crushed by machinery below. MS worker stands at bottom of this shaft, waiting for door to open. Door slides up and load of rocks pour out and into a big bucket beside him. MLS workers pushing these containers full of rocks through a gangway between 2 structures; the buckets are hanging via pulleys from rope above. MS worker giving bucket a final shove; the row of buckets hanging from rope moves away across big open space. Another view of buckets moving back and forth on ropes which are attached to towers. Buckets heading toward another structure - a platform built up on scaffolding w/ low buildings beside it. The buckets slide from the rope onto a sort of U-shaped rail in the center of the platform, and travel around it, coming back onto the returning rope at the other end of the "U". MS boys pushing the buckets around the platform. MS boy lunges into the bucket to dump out load of rocks, then rushes on round curve past camera; another boy follows. These boys look c. 12 - 14 years old. MS shovel scooping rocks down big pile beside platform. MS machinery underneath platform: a wheel spinning and a pole moving up and down - crushing rocks. MLS ore is washed in round pools w/ horizontal wheels turning, water coming out of holes along the spokes. MCUs same. MCU shovel tossing around pile of "pure tinstone" which just looks like dirt.
