High angle L/S of men wheeling their motorbikes to the starting line on a very wet day. Several shots of motorbikes racing around the TT course. L/S of the winner crossing the finishing line and slowing down. M/S of winner CJP Hodson sitting on his Sunbeam motorcycle; two men stand beside him. Various shots show men sitting on their bikes and preparing for the race. More shots of the race, mostly different to the above. M/S of CJP Hodson on his bike after the race as before; he takes off his helmet. "Dirt track racing...this year's novelty!" Several shots at night of men outlined with light bulbs or fireworks riding on motorbikes outlined with bulbs / fireworks - quite effective - they look like moving neon signs. The lights are smoking quite heavily. "A peep behind the scenes shows just how it's done!" Various shots in daylight show a man completely covered in a protective suit having bits of wire and hardboard put onto one side of his body; his motorbike also has a board overlay. It's not clear if they then attach bulbs or fireworks for the final effect. | |
