With an interruption, the radio frowns, and other objects in the house make changes to save fuel: a coal scuttle takes back a lump of coal, a poker goes into the closet "for the duration." He tells us to inspect our hot water systems - boiler seen closing its own door and switching itself off. A lamp switches itself off, and so does the radio, when it realizes no one is listening, switches itself off. | |
