| Description: | Trailer: SAVE YOUR WASTE PAPER (aka TAKE A LETTER) Cartoon trailer encouraging public to recycle waste paper Animated cartoon Pan across field littered with waste paper to Sign - "Save Your Waste Paper" - standing in middle of field of paper. Paper springs to life, paper jumps up and whistles. A truck speeds in and comes to a halt, all the bits of paper leap onto the truck. The truck despatches the paper at a processing plant, fanciful factory for recycling into materiels for Army Navy and RAF. The paper is shredded and pulped by eccentric-looking machine. The pulp is transformed into various useful items for the war effort: first aid boxes, blankets, ammunition, weapons and food. We see the items going down conveyor belts and through doors marked "Army", "Navy" and "RAF". Crates of supplies in a stack. A "mosquito" takes off with a bundle and parachutes it to the outstretched hands of Tommies in the field. End title reads: "Save more and more waste paper please!" | |
