Trainer in charge of the bears; and a woman assistant in long flowered dress. Bears; who wear white ruffs round their necks; do assorted funny/silly stunts: they balance on balls; push each other round the ring in a cart; stand on front paws; walk on hind legs; ride horses on a little merry-go-round/carousel; w/ trainer in center; sit at table; drink from bottles. CU bear w/ bottle- -looks like wine bottle; so looks as if the bear is desperately trying to get at some alcoholic beverage! All this can either be seen as comedy or cruelty to animals but they didn't have animal rights activists in 1910. Entertainment. | |
