Really scary experiments on rats - actually preparing the rats for space flight, but it looks like some sort of mad scientist experiment. Paris, France. Various shots taken at the French Air Force's special Space Research Centre in Paris, of a rat nicknamed Hector who is to be sent up into space in the future in the missile "Veronique". The story shows the rat being fitted with special space suit, and being put into centrifugal machine to enable the rat to encounter the same movement as in space flight. One rat is selected from a cage full of them and he is put into a strange leather harness/jacket. The scientist then puts him onto a centrifugal machine and spins him around, CU of rat's face after he stops, the poor thing looks very dazed and dizzy, he is then put into a metal tube. | |
