| Description: | 08:13:23:- MS of Mike Lukas, TV host and comedian, interviewing Bob Brown, magician and proprietor of a magic store. Bob stands behind a store counter, talking about how long he's been doing what he's been doing and such. Zoom in to CU of Bob doing a trick he invented, "Off the Cuff": he puts a pair of fingercuffs on Mike to show their authenticity, then takes them off and puts them on himself; Mike places a blue scarf over Bob's hands, Bob struggles, asks Mike to take off the scarf and loosen the left cuff a notch but lo and behold, Bob is free and the cuffs are back in their protective sheath (!). Cut to MS of Bob doing another trick, this one involving a blue scarf and the magic words he "learned from David Copperfield" : Claudia Schiffer. The scarf resembles an erect penis (ha, ha). Cut to MS of Bob walking from the counter and into the backroom as Mike talks to Jay Marfel (sp?), an old time magician. They talk about how long he's been performing (since 1936), Harry Houdini (how great of a performer was he? are his secrets locked in a vault? what were some of his tricks? any good publications by and of him? what lead him into becoming an escape artist? what was his life like? where did he get the name Harry Houdini? ). | |
