| Description: | ON PREVIEW CASSETTE 98383/1 03.00.00 .....Opening montage: hardware store aisle of distinctively labeled TruTest paint cans (shelves are packed with them); a can is taken from a shelf and carried to a paint shaker; zoom in to the vibrations; CU with great DOF of paint shelves faced off; MS of purchase displays and a man inspecting the sample paint swatch sheets; MS of a thick- rimmed, mutton- chopped young male employee taking the can of paint from the shaker and hands it to an older woman in a powder blue suit who grimaces and walks away while the man sulks at a desk to daydream for a while..... suddenly the place is alive! it's sale day! men wearing short-sleeved, dark red dress shirts and big, ugly ties hawk products to young nubile women wearing blue jeans and not much else (typical mid-1970's fashion). .....MS's and CU's of manager and assistant manager in an office preparing for a sale .....MS of the manager (man in his mid 50's) encouraging the dork from before (check out his red and white plaid pants!) .....CU of a trailer-size banner being unfurled .....CU of balloons being filled .....employee meeting montage; MS's and CU's of men wearing big glasses and oily hair combed in directions it was never meant to go in .....fast motion MS's of employees brush washing a tractor trailer .....montage of man in his forties or so washing the store windows .....tight LS's and MS's of men prepping the truck with ads and signs .....men decorate the paint area inside the store .....tight LS of huge paint supplies and displays ..... more balloon filling and banner hanging .....MS of an employee showing people how easy it is to wash dirt from latex paint .....MS of the reigning Queen (of what?) as she shows the crowd how easy the paint applies .....high angle tight LS of a parade (what's the event? the paint sale?); military marching band and flagbearers .....recap montage at the end; includes the sale and the parade (kids on a hay wagon, an elephant and the queen waving to the crowd from a convertible with the top down) | |
