| Description: | TWO TEMPO RESTAURANT (aka MOOD MUSIC TO LIMBO AT NEW LONDON RESTAURAN) Description of the new 'hip' place in London - real swinging sixties' treat, beware of the dancers! London, England. M/S of guitar strings and girl's hand playing. Camera pans up to girl's face as she sings a folk song - Ms Leonore Drewery entertains the guests in the new Queensway Restaurant. High angle shot of Ms Drewery singing under the dim atmospheric light of the restaurant. Succession of shots of the girl singing and customers enjoying the food and music. Interesting high angle C/U shot of the plates filled with food. Cut to a C/U shot of a West Indian Steel drum. M/S of the steel band playing. "...in this restaurant you can choose the tempo of your entertainment." Festival winning steel band from Trinidad (Trinidad and Tobago) "Les Flambeaux" is entertaining the customers after a meal. Various shots of young people dancing on the dance floor and the band playing in the dark 'clubby' room - very 'swinging sixties' - affluence in the air. The prime event of the night is Trinidad speciality - 'Limbo' dance. M/S of a black man, one of the entertainers, dancing his way under the stick and back, effortlessly. Follows a M/S of the young man in a suit, wearing glasses, who wiggles his way 'under and up' not as skilfully but still highly enjoyable. M/S of the black entertainer lowering the stick very close to the floor - no challengers this time. Succession of M/S of the entertainer demonstrating some impressive snake-style dancing. The film ends with several shots of people dancing and the band playing. | |
