M/S of a Land Rover driving through the Queen Elizabeth National Park; it passes a sign reading 'Elephant [sic] Have Right of Way'. Several shots of elephants in the park; a few babies are seen. Various wildlife shots show lions, buffalo (? or wildebeests), antelopes (?), vultures sitting beside bones and remains of an animal. African men are seen fishing on the river (Nile?) from primitive canoes. Nice L/Ss of pelicans on the river bank. L/S of a lake which commentator tells us is in the crater of an extinct volcano. Various stunning shots of the snow-capped Ruwenzori mountains. M/S of an African man beating a drum beside a Christian church (possibly in the capital city, Kampala) as numerous children and adults file in. We then see Acholi tribesmen doing a war-dance, wearing feathered head-dresses and carrying large shields. | |
