With the Chinese reds pressing in from three sides, 10th army troops fight a skillful delaying action to complete the evacuation by sea of much valuable arms and equipment. Nearby, at a Korean cemetery, tribute to men fallen in combat. (retreat) MLS US soldiers roll down the highway in their military trucks and at the side of the road more US military men, members of the relief column cheer and wave them on. MCU American marines sitting in the back of a military trucks bed. All the men are wrapped up in blankets so they can keep warm. MLS United States marines standing around captured North Koreans. CU Red Chinese soldier frozen hand, he can't hold the cup to get a drink so a US soldier extends his kindness and holds the cup to the mouth of the Red Chinese prisoner. CU Chinese Red soldier prisoner being offered a cigarette he accepts the cigarette and then the camera pans down to his feet which are incased in ice. Aerial shot from plane. LS Village Huichon US marines get ready to evacuate 20 thousand troops. MCU Truck convoys rolling in to unload their contingents. MLS US marines loading ships with jeeps, trucks and other military supplies. MLS during the first air evacuation of casualties directly from the battlefield to a hospital ship. CU Marines throwing their duffle bags into an open boat and the embarkations proceeds. Near the embarkation port rolls of dead are reverently regarded by Major General Smith for those who have died for freedom there's again a requiem for the brave.
