Ladies and Gentlemen meet the lady who was selected among the state winners of the Mrs. America pageant at San Diego, to be this year's Mrs. United States Saving Bond. Ann Meckler of Muncie, New York. Ann Meckler, "Next question from the audience, 'What does Mrs. United State's Savings Bond do?'" Allen Young, "The answer to that is..." Ann Meckler, "I do everything I can to persuade people to invest in their country with Saving's Bonds. I travel, I visit banks and schools and industrial firms where Bonds are sold, and I talk." Allen Young, "And you have a wonderful product to talk about." Ann Meckler, "Oh yes. Saving Bonds have been good to our family and I think that's true of millions of other's. It's not only a good way to save but a practical way to keep our county strong." Allen Young, "Which is everybodies job." Ann Meckler, "Right, Mr. Young. And that's why we call Saving Bonds - the Star Spangle Saving's Plan for all Americans." Allen Young, "And your a Star Salesman for that Star Spangle Plan.
