Various shots show the exterior of the palace and grounds, views inside congress, the ornamental gardens and the rustic houses of the hamlet. Inside the palace (?) we see people dressed in 18th century costume doing traditional dances. People in modern dress eat at long banquet tables. Commentator tells us this was in July 1938, when King George VI (Prince Albert, Duke of York) and Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mother) visited. The King is briefly seen at a table (I think). Fireworks are set off around fountains in the gardens. A man in 18th century costume takes a bow. | |
