| Description: | VICARAGE POST OFFICE Reverend Parkhouse and wife run a local sub-post office in Elsted, Surrey. Reverend and Mrs Fernley Parkhouse. The Reverend Fernley Parkhouse is seen in the nave of his church. He walks off, carrying the chalice. We see him leaving the church and walking into his picturesque rectory. There he attends to his other business, that of a local sub-post office. A woman is already waiting to collect her pension. Then a small girl comes in with a dog on a lead, asking for a dog licence. In the kitchen next door, we see Mrs Parkhouse making a cake. Suddenly, the vicar is overrun with customers and he rings a buzzer on the wall beside him. His wife comes in and starts serving some of the customers to help him out. | |
