CU Man scooping chips out of fryer on to a plate. He turns away out of frame. MS Girl in straw hat taking plate from fish-fryer wearing straw hat behind counter. She picks up various pieces of food from counter and puts them on to plate which she s holding and walks out of frame. LS Back of girl walking through restaurant where there are people sitting at table eating. There is an old-fashioned gramophone in fg. CU Stuffed fish on wall. MS Girl arriving on upper floor. She brings plate where a number of people are sitting and places them before customers. Then walks away from table and out of frame. Cu. Plate on table where hands holding knife and fork are sorting over contents MS Man and two women sitting eating. One of the girls looks towards camera. MS Piano-player wearing bowler hat. MS Couple at table. Girl is eating and man is drinking out of glass. CU Board on wall which has Have You Tried Our Fine Muscles 3/6d.Plate. Rough Cider 2/6d. A Glass LS Fish parlor which shows pianist in fg. and waitress carrying trays between tables. CU Hands holding knife and fork picking at food on plate. Camera pans to show another plate which has knife and ford digging at fish. CU Glass into which wine is being poured. Hand reaches out grabs hold glass and lifts from table. MS Wall of parlor on which are a number of stuffed fish in cases. High angle MS Pianist. Shows also large lobster on piano. MS Fish-fryer placing fish into fryer. He turns away from fryer wipes hands on apron and looks over counter. High angle MS Pianist. MS Fish fryer folding arms and laughing as he looks at pianist. MS Fish friar laughing. He turns back to fryer picks up bag and scoops chips into bag from fryer. CU Hand putting chips into cardboard box. He picks up piece of fish and puts it on top of chips in box. MS Customer (Alan) paying cashier. CU Fish fryer’s hands folding lid of box and taking box out of frame. MS Customer receiving box of fish and chips from fish fryer he turns round and opens door. MS Alan coming out of shop. Pauses on step and looks at box containing chips etc. He continued on his way down street holding box. | |
