Several shots of groups of young boys and girls walking about the Pestalozzi Children's Village; the nationalities seen are Indian, Arabic and Thai, mostly in traditional dress. Commentator explains that the work of the Village has changed from the rescue of refugees and war orphans to educational work for children from poor and developing countries.

We see group of girls coming towards us and we see building which boys are walking towards other boys are walking out of it. CS Group of girls walking towards us. MS Boys being instructed how to use a tractor - one of them spins blade round. CS His face panning to instructor. MS Three boys looking at tractor and moving past. CS Complicated control board of the language teaching machine. Hand switches knob. MLS Teacher with earphones on controlling machine pan to class of students all with earphones learning English. MS row of students talking into microphone. CS One student talking into microphone. CU Teacher talking into microphone. CU Girl's face talking - pan to another student. CS Hand forming word gnat from letter game on table. MS Four boys playing a game. CU Face of one of them - pan to another boy MS Little girl being taught pottery by woman instructor. The Indian children prepare for the Divali, the Festival of Lights; they put statues or dolls on a kind of shrine and decorate it with candles, beads and trinkets. MS Dolls on altar - boy comes into picture right and places two more dolls on altar. Cs four of them - two arabs an indian and a thai panning to their feet to show differences in costume. Cs another indian boy chalking on floor panning up to show two other boys doing same. Cs boy lighting candles on floor while other boys talk. Cs girl putting row of beads on altar. Ms girl sitting on sofa with three others examining beads. An Indian woman puts a red bhindi on a girl's forehead, then sprinkles her head with water. Cu spot being put on girl's forehead. Ms woman splashing water round girl's head and waving basin. Cs indian girl wrapping sari around her and walking out of picture right. Ms decorated ceiling panning down to girl dancing on middle of floor near the altar and round the chalk marks which say divali festival. She throws her hands around. Cs her dancing and singing and turning around. Pan down to bottom of her sair. Ms group of onlookers chanting. Ms girl dancing and singing.
