Cut to CU of a B&W still of a pig being inspected by a verterinarian circa 1970's. Pan right to CU of another B&W still of a vet checking out a calf. Cut to CU still of a calf with some sort of dental prod in its mouth as a vet checks it out. More CU's of B&W stills of the vet checking out cows, goats, sheep, cats, etc. 06:23:04:- MS of Dr. Locke, a veterinarian/professor at the University of Illinois Champagne/ Urbana. He talks to the camera about the facility, its history and functions, then leads the camera crew down a hallway to where the "patients" are kept. CU and MS of a black horse in a cage, there for artificial insemination. Pan left to MS of Troubador, an 21 year old former racing horse, also there for breeding purposes. Cut to tight LS of a brown mare and a 2 week old black colt in a stall; zoom in to CU's of the cute colt laying on a bed of straw. Cut to wide MS of Dr. Locke standing in a large, well-lit examination room. He shows the crew what equipment he uses to restrain horses during exams (a tall, blue colored series of metal pipes called stocks). He then goes into great detail of its situational uses. | |
