| Description: | VOLTS Testing giant insulators at electric power station - lightning in the lab and weird sci-fi sort of images. Shadowy room w/ weird shapes. Big generators? Tower of bars twisting diagonally around 3 poles, w/ balls on top of each pole. Shot looking up at this tower from beside it - on this side are a series of twisted wires like rungs of a ladder, each w/ 2 small balls on it like a mini abacus. Another shot of the huge room w/ strage shapes - huge shiny black balls, a weird thing in the corner that looks like a wizard's hat. In this shot there is a glimpse of a man at rt. disappearing down some stairs - it's a shocking realization of the scale involved here because these things almost look like toys in some futuristic nursury until one sees the tiny man. Shots from balcony high above. LS side view man standing at a long shiny control board. Shot of the room dimmed for the test, w/ shapes in FG like a ball on a tall pole and another pole made of wide-brimmed hats; in BG a crowd of observers sit in rows. Shot in all dark room of "artificial" lightning dancing between 2 points on a pole; looks very cool. "Lashed lightning - giant sparks up to 20 feet in length - death to anyone in their way." Cuts for a sec. to another shot of room w/ lights on, similar to an earlier shot. Then another shot of dancing lightning. | |
