| Description: | Master 22 - Tape 1 (Partial transfer, see catalog cat #311263 for entire transfer). Failed/failing flying machines, stunts and silent slapstick wackiness, 1910-1920s. TLSs intrepid white man wearing large paddle-like wings strapped to his back, running, attemptying to fly; he enlists accomplices to pull him along field but he falls, literally, on his face. TLSs another intrepid man with wings strapped to his back running, then leaping off a rock and falling flat on his face in a beautiful, handless, certainly painful faceplant (swan dive). Ouch. Excellent LS Ford Model T touring car rolling down ramp on rails, jumping over house, completely collapsing, falling apart upon landing; stunts; you may have seen this shot used in the famed rollout segments of MTV's "Headbanger's Ball" with musical accompaniment by S.O.D. TLS moustachioed white man starting Packard truck, driving off, revealing motorcycle cop; LSs crazy high speed chase sequence between truck, motorcycle cop, cars on rural roads; LS open police wagon stopping on railroad tracks, several cops getting out; TLS steam engine locomotive chasing Ford Model T along railroad tracks; LS police officers pushing wagon stalled on RRX just in the nick of time, a locomotive almost striking them dead; TLS motorcycle cop jumping into river; TLS three Ford Model T roadster convertible cars driving down dirt embankment. Great LS/TLSs three Ford Model T cars & three pedestrians circling wildly, madly in large bowled trench, the pedestrians apparently shooting pistols-- absolute madcap mayhem; comedic pandemonium. | |
