| Description: | Waiters "ski derby". Championship title is zealously fought for by every hotel at Chamonix the great winter sports centre. France. A comical race between waiters wearing white jackets, each balancing a glass of wine and a wine bottle on a tray on one hand and gripping a ski pole in the other hand. MLS start of race, then various MSs MLSs of the waiters propelling themsleves along past chalets, houses, and scattered spectators along the route. Of course there are some mishaps with the trays. Then slogging down a slushy street in downtown Chamonix - -and by this point, the waiters who have made it this far are still hanging in there. MLS a large jovial man pours a glass of champagne for the winning waiter who drinks; crowd of amused people gathered around. | |
