The men do synchronised exercises in the grounds of the hospital and pick berries from the trees with little baskets over their arms. Men are seen in the fields with horse drawn ploughs. A group of them wash a pig. Pans of water are placed in an outdoor oven or kiln. "The Battle of Seale Hayne" - Directed, photographed and acted by convalescent war neurosis patients." The men act out a drama which includes men attending the wounded, explosions, combat "going over the top" etc.
