| Description: | //////////////////////////////////////////////////////// NO AUDIO /////////////////////////////////////////////////////// In Holland, the pole-jumping National Championships bring out the best in this unique event. Unlike pole vaulting, a running start, a flying leap over a ditch filled with water, a grab at a pole, and a hoped for dry landing on the other side is the object. Establishing shot - A crow of people sitting around on bleachers watching people take to the pole and jump to the other side of the pond without ending up in the drink, MS - One of the contestants takes to the pole and gets hung up in the middle of the pond and ends up in the water. CUS - The onlookers getting a big kick out of the guys failure to clear the pond and are laughing and enjoying the day. MS - A woman attempts to clear the pond on the pole and she more than makes it, good job... MS - Another man attempts the jump and he fails ending up in the drink. CUS - The spectators laughing and having a ball. MS - A guy takes to the pole and jumps with plenty of room to spare. Medium LS - Another fellow takes to the pole and can't hand on mid-way and takes to the drink. | |
