Following; another group of uniformed guys with bayonet-rifles and backpacks march through the gate. CU Welsh Guard standing alone on bridge or in front of fence; wearing some sort of vegetable matter in his hat. Next; two guards give out this weird flora to wear for Saint David's Day (St. David is the patron saint of Wales). Guys come up; salute; and get one of these leeks or whatever they are. CU One guard fastening thing on other's hat--these are the two guys who were giving them out. CU funny shot of guard with moustache proudly stands smiling with this tassle of plant life hanging at the side of his face; other young guy stands by him. An odd tradition or superstition. Celtic. Obviously during World War One but no reference to the war. | |
