| Description: | WHAT HAPPENS NEXT #9 Safety and other issues, designed to invoke the imagination of the viewer (this is an educational series of shorts for schoolchildren in the late 1940s/1950s): Three boys play 'catch' in a field. Their ball goes over a fence. One of the boys climbs over to fetch it and realises he's in an apple orchard. He calls to his friends who follow him over the fence. One boy begins to climb a tree. Another reaches to pick apples from a low branch. The boy, now up in the tree throws apples down to his friends. As they collect more fruit, they notice the farmer approaching. The two boys on the ground are quick to run off, but the boy in the tree cannot move so fast. The farmer chases the two boys over the fence and waves his stick at them as they run off. Unaware of the boy up in the tree the farmer begins to collect the discarded apples from the ground. The third boy hides in the trees branches and watches the farmer from above... End title: "What do you think happens next? | |
