| Description: | The "Ampitron", a weird Dutch invention, goes in mud, quicksand, water...anything! U.S. Army authorities think it may replace the tank. Also, a look at the British Army's new six wheel gun and personnel carrier, zipping uphill, downhill, and through anything. And -- the newest of the "kookie" speed sports. Bump and bang jalopy racing at Brands Hatch Track in England. They rock, sock, flip, bump and bash into barrels in their wild, 70 mile per hour roaring circuits of the track. Establishing shot - Two men sitting on top of a flat platform and it has long canister drums with cutting threads. It's called the 'Ampitron'. MS - The Ampitron is moving sideway down a wet sandy beach. It has no problem cutting its way through the sand. MS - The Ampitron is now going from the beach into the water, nothing stops it. NS - This quite impressive little tank is moving out, It's the British Army's new 6-wheel gun and personal carrier. It looks like its going down a ski slope with ho problems. Medium Side View - It has 6-tires and a mounted little cannon on it. MS - It's bump and grind jalopy racing. MS - Guards - Cigarettes sing. The cars are speeding around the track. MS - One car slams into another car and it flips landing back on all four wheels. MS - One car that's speeding down the track hits a overturned barrel and the whole front of the car lifts up, but the driver regains control of the car and it presses on. The average speed around the track is 70 mph. | |
