| Description: | WILL HYDE PARK EVER BE LIKE THIS? French society of "Nudistes" frolic in a park. They are not actually nude but wear swimsuits, some of them quite revealing for the time. Sun worshipers in France - games are played, dancing in a circle, tug of war, cooling off under pump etc France The "Nudistes" walk single file along a path on a riverbank. The last man in the line carries a giant ball. Actually he turns out not to be the last; there are a few stragglers. Wide shot: the people scattered around park playing various games - in FG 2 men play a game w/ racquets in which they hit a ball tied to a pole as in tether ball; people in BG playing catch, etc. Pan left to group of a few people playing w/ the giant ball. MS people gathered around pump; a man is pumping while a young woman in bikini is bent over under the pump, washing off or getting a drink or both; the others stand around smiling and laughing. CU the girl at the pump. Next, MLS 8 girls in bikinis skip hand in hand in a circle. LS people get ready for meal: much smoke from barbecue in FG. can see tent at rt., table set up behind, people setting table or preparing food. MS from inside tent looking to table outside; good looking guy with great bod is sampling something straight from the pot; another guy stands at tent door and a few women sit at table. MS a few people (including an elderly man w/ white hair!) sitting in lawnchairs. LS Crowd of Nudistes sort of posing on hillside (not all standing still). MLS part of group posing, being splashed w/ water - almost looks as if it is raining; this group includes a couple older women. MS women in tug of war; can see a few tents in BG. MLS more of women's tug of war, w/ a few guys cheering them on. End of tug of war. MS women struggling w/ rope in another game; in this the teams line up along each side of rope, facing each other, and try to push each other backward. Wide shot group spread out in rows flapping their arms wildly. Another shot of people walking along the path, as in opening. | |
