MLS pan on 2 women going along row in field of cut wheat, using tools on sticks to push grass to the side. MLS 2 men work in a team, one swinging a stick which must have a sharp edge, because he seems to cut down grass and knock it to the side while the other guy follows, picking it up. LS men and women using long rakes to gather grass. MLS man and woman work quickly, making small haystack. Cute shot - pile of hay is yanked away in FG to reveal couple sitting on the ground kissing. LS woman holds harness of team of oxen while man uses pitchfork to toss more hay onto big pile on wagon. LS woman on top of hay wagon catching sheaves as they are tossed up and arranging them on the pile. Oxen pull the wagon load along path while couple walk along beside. | |
