London VS People arriving outside and in the foyer of the Warner Theatre, Leicester Square, for the London premiere of "Kaleidoscope". Some are contestants for the "Switched-On Gear" contest - women wear mini skirts and cat suits, some men dress in furs but mainly wear suits. MS One man arrives in a helmet with a flashing light on top, sunglasses, a plastic jacket and carries an imitation gun. MS A couple arrive, woman with black hair (possibly Cathy McGowan, who was present at the occasion). MS Pan along row of male entrants. They are judged by the author, Jackie Collins, TV personality Harvey Orkin and boutique owner Lord John of Carnaby Street. The winners John Brockwell, aged 28, of Wimbledon and Marie Hallowi, aged 22, pose with their £100 cheques. CU Sign: "Mini-skirt meter. Warning: No girl but no girl may be admitted unless her hemline is the regulation 4" above the knee. or other kinky gear." MS A cameraman asks a girl on the mini-skirt meter to pull her dress higher above the knee. (3 shots). CU Girl. VS Actor Herbert Lom arrives in evening attire and so do a few other guests.
