| Description: | Food. Maple syrup harvesting in Canada; c. 1920's. Team of mostly women workers dressed in winter sweaters and hats in the woods checking containers hanging on sugar maples. A few dogs run around keeping them company. CU bucket full of syrup hanging on tree; w/ drops dripping from tap. Woman drinking syrup from bucket. Man drives team of horses pulling a sledge w/ large vat; they stop; women pour syrup into vat. Women ride on back as sledge heads toward building in woods. Old man carries a different bucket; balances it on woodpile; women all gather round w/ wooden spoons & taste the syrup (which has probably been cooked).
