| Description: | WOOING BEAUTY IN OUTDOOR DRILL Sports day - fun and games as young women compete in various events. College girls' drill routine. United States MLS 4 lines of young women march toward camera, dressed in short shorts, shirts and vests, sailor caps. They march almost up to the camera then turn rt., changing into a couple long rows. WS tilt down at the drill team marching on football field; spectators stand on sidelines. LS tilt down at girls marching past to rt.; their leader marching alone in front, holding a salute. Next, the girls pose as beasts of burden! MS 2 lines of girls stand ready to run; on each row there is a rope curving around waist of front girl and stretching back on either side of the line. LS the girls running along holding onto these ropes; they are on the banks of a lake with woods around it; some people watching in BG. WS lake; in middle of lake ia a man in a rowboat and a much odder craft. A girl is doing a headstand on top of some small board which is moving across the water toward camera as if pulled by a boat, but there's no fast boat in sight! Cut to MLS the girls in harness run by pulling the rope- -it stretches out behind them but we never see what they are pulling. They're pulling the thing in the water! The rope must be wrapped round a pole on the shore since the thing in the water is moving at a perpendicular angle to the runners. LS the ski-board is pulled toward camera & past with the girl on it still holding her headstand; she lets herself fall over into the water just in front of cam. Back on football field - MLS girls in a row; one girl stands facing them and does a fast and crazed cheer routine or something while they chant. It looks like she's having a fit. Next the girls try the sled thing on the grass. This time the pullers stand in 2 rows, each row holding onto a long pole in front of them; the poles are tied together at the ends, and the sled is tied to the back. LS girls "in harness" running around field pulling a friend on the sled. Another brief shot.
